Thank you for travelling near and far to the University of Windsor to participate in the 6th Annual International Conference on West-East Reciprocal Learning in Education. This conference was organized by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) funded Partnership Project “Reciprocal Learning in Teacher Education and School Education between Canada and China”, and Canada Research Chair Program in International and Intercultural Reciprocal Learning in Education, in collaboration with the Greater Essex County District School Board and Faculty of Education / University of Windsor. The three-day international conference was followed by a two-day AGM for Reciprocal Learning Partnership project members. Both events were successfully held with the participation of researchers and educators from Canada, China, United States, Singapore, and Nigeria.

During our time together, we shared knowledge and experiences and expanded our thinking and practices of reciprocal learning. We also made new friends and fostered new connections. Altogether, 75 papers were presented on the themes of West-East reciprocal learning in classrooms and curriculums, mechanisms and modes for reciprocal learning in school development, reciprocal learning in teaching and teacher education, and diversity in reciprocal learning relationships. On the first day of the conference, conference attendees also visited 8 local schools in the city of Windsor to learn about local school systems. Please check out our news reports below to see highlights from the international conference and the AGM. Please also take a look at our conference video. We look forward to seeing you at our future conferences.
