School partners from Canada and China shared their experience of the Partnership project and what they envisioned for the future.

Six research teams gathered in groups to discuss what they have achieved in the past and what they would like to accomplish during the last project year. Each group discussion was joined by an International Advisory Team member who offered his/her insights to the issues discussed.

Presenters shared their ideas for collaboration, funding opportunities and challenges. Themes presented include 21st century skills and global citizenship, collaboration between natural science and social science, and collaboration between post-secondary institutions and local schools with current partners and indigenous groups.

Small group discussions followed by group presentations were held to continue conversations on future possibilities. Global Citizenship, Sustainable Development and Environmental Education were the focus of many group discussions/presentations

During closing remarks, Dr. Xu and Dr. Connelly acknowledged efforts made by all partners, friends and coordinating members.

The meeting focused on specific strategies, language, and directions that guide future proposal writing. Potential partners include: SWU and ECNU Science Departments, persons with disabilities and indigenous groups.
